The world of learning has changed. Consider the steps you use to prepare meals for your family, shop for clothing, select a car, or even choose entertainment. We do so without considering the steps to accomplish these tasks. The key to learning can be found in varying steps, which begins early in the life of a child. We can no longer rely on what has worked in the past to prepare our children for tomorrow.
For this reason, The Sensory Station (TSS) will implement a new Gift of Talent Program for early childhood students, ages 3 to 7 years of age.
For this age group, there are few opportunities for specific gifted and talented task. Talents go untapped and often appear as behavioral problems. In this pilot program, Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade students are assessed daily on their reasoning and problem-solving skills, using The Sensory Station’s unique curriculum. These TSS Trials will measure intellectual ability, focus on analytic task, and problem-solving capabilities.
During the months of June and July, Summer Gift of Talent is offered to our youngest campers. The objective of each camp day, is to present young campers with concrete activities that enhance verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal responses.
